This all-units training session will provide an introduction to the General Counsel’s Office and highlight ways in which the office can support your work! We will review ways to effectively collaborate on civil rights matters that arise in your communities. We will discuss how to mount litigation, when and how to seek OGC approval; filing amicus briefs; seeking approval for local demonstrations and protests; issuing press releases on civil rights litigation; speedy contract review and more. We will close with an Open Floor, allowing Units to raise questions and flag issues for OGC. Not to be missed.
